Howard M. Duvall, III, Founder and Principal
For over 35 years, Mr. Duvall has actively contributed to North Carolina’s commercial real estate development and expansion. As President of Duvall Investment Group, Mr. Duvall oversees all business strategy and operations for the company. Previously, he served in executive management roles with several real estate development and financing firms, including Little & Co., Huaca, Inc., Northwestern Financial Investors and Northwestern Advisory Corp, John R. Maddox & Associates, and, The Colony, Ltd. Duvall has served as developer and principal for more than 1.1 million square feet of commercial and mixed-use office space, more than 250 acres of residential and commercial subdivisions, and nearly 600 units of luxury apartments and condominiums. Myra Zweier, Controller, joined Duvall Investment Group in May of 2009. Myra is a Certified Public Accountant for the state of North Carolina and is also a member of the NCACPA. Michael P. Taylor, Senior Association Manager, joined the Duvall Investment Group, Inc., team in December 2007 as an association manager for the Association Management Division. Michael recently graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business in May 2007. During Michael’s Citadel career, he participated in the Senior Mentors Program as well as the Business Mentors Program. He is currently pursuing his North Carolina Real Estate License. Lori Dolinski, Senior Association Manager, joined Duvall Investment Group, Inc. in October 2009. Dolinski comes to Duvall from First Colony Corporation/Colony Development Partners in Charlotte, where she had served as Property Manager since 2005. Prior to that, she worked as Community Association Manager for Henderson Properties in Charlotte. Property management is Dolinski’s second career, following an eight-year journey as an Event Operations Manager in Connecticut and California. John Dwiggins, Association Director – Triad Division, joined Duvall Investment Group, Inc. in March 2009 as the Association Director for the Triad Division of Duvall. John is currently responsible for the management of associations in the Winston-Salem and Greensboro area of North Carolina. John is a graduate of Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and minors in History and Economics. John joins Duvall from Inmar Inc. where he served as a Sr. Account Executive responsible for overseeing the relationship for several CPG mfrs. throughout the US. Prior to joining Inmar, John was the Senior Program Manager for Aon Consulting in Winston-Salem, NC responsible for the implementation and new business and the annual enrollment initiatives for Aon clientele. John joined Aon from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco where among other duties he established an online marketing process for the company. Upon graduating from Elon University, John began his professional career with NationsBank, which became Bank of America. With Bank of America John served as a Sr. Project Manager in several divisions, including Treasury Management, Model Bank, and Strategic Alliances and Investments. Kelly Imboden, Association Manager, joined Duvall Investment Group, Inc. in August 2009. Kelly is a recent graduate from the University of the South; Sewanee receiving a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Spanish. Jessica Miller, Association Manager, joined Duvall Investment Group, Inc.,
in June 2009. She came to Duvall from the collegiate swim coaching ranks, including three years as an Assistant Swim Coach at Davidson College where she acted as the Recruiting Coordinator. With a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Tourism Management, from Old Dominion University, Jess is currently working towards a Masters of Arts in Elementary Education at Queens University of Charlotte and is very excited to be part of the Duvall family. Skye McMahan, Project Manager, joined Duvall Investment Group, Inc. in September 2009. Prior to joining Duvall, Mr. McMahan has had extensive experience in the construction and property management field. Most recently, he spent two years as a Project Manager and Project Engineer with Choate Construction. Before that, McMahan served as a Project Manager and Estimator for Flamcont Construction Company in Boston, MA. All told, he has a total of nine years’ experience with property management and project management, begun after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. COMMERCIAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
Nicole Tonelli, Director of Commercial Property Management, joined Duvall Investment Group, Inc., in July 2005 as a property manager for the Condominium Association Management Division. Nicole was promoted to Senior Association Manager in May 2006 overseeing Association Managers in the management and operation of nine properties in the Charlotte and Triad Areas. In September 2008, Nicole assumed the role as the Director of Operations for Duvall. Within this position, Nicole handled special projects (budgeting, insurance claims, capital improvement projects, etc.) for Duvall’s condominium clients and continued the oversight of the Triad area properties. Aside from these association management responsibilities, Nicole also supervised the maintenance and janitorial divisions (MSR Services). Most recently, Nicole became the Director of Commercial Property Management. Under this role, Nicole is able to apply her project management experience to the management for Duvall’s commercial properties while remaining the supervisor for the maintenance and janitorial services. Nicole is a graduate of Davidson College (Bachelor of Science in Psychology), and currently holds a North Carolina Real Estate License. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Liza Hopkins, Director of Business Development, initially joined Duvall Investment Group, Inc. in June 2003 as an assistant property manager for the Condominium Association Management Division. In addition to her duties as an assistant property manager she assisted as a project manager working directly with developers and builders on new condominium constructions projects. In June of 2006 Liza moved to Charleston, SC to gain commercial property management experience with Colliers Keenan, Inc. and was responsible for their entire Charleston Commercial Management Portfolio. Liza rejoined our COA Management Division in December 2006 as a Senior Association Manager where she oversaw Association Managers in their management and operations of several associations. Liza moved to the Commercial Property Management/Construction Coordination Division of Duvall in June 2008 and is excited to gain experience and knowledge in additional areas in the Duvall Management Portfolio. Liza is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology along with minors in English and Religious Studies. Jessica Austin has been a member of the Accounting team since 1998. Jessica currently serves as the Accounts Payables Specialist, handling all of the payable functions for in excess of thirty accounts. Jessica also oversees all human resource reporting and payroll functions for Duvall. Jessica's accounting background includes credit support and investor accounting. Contact Jessica at
Gina Hill serves as our Accounts Receivable Specialist and handles all invoicing, drafts, postings and billings for association dues and rents.
